Junior Board Member Position Overview

Join our Junior Board

Veterans to Farmers is seeing passionate volunteers to help further the mission of Turning Protectors into Providers.

What is a Junior Board?

Veterans to Farmers is assembling a Junior Board of Directors to help further the mission of Veterans to Farmers. Junior Board Members will assist with operations, but will not directly oversee management of the organization or its members.

Why a Junior Board?

Veterans to Farmers recognizes our most important resource: the passionate and knowledgeable people guiding our organization and mission. While our Board of Directors is currently at capacity, this is an opportunity to participate in our organization and its growth.

When it is time to expand our board or replace existing members, our Junior Board members will be encouraged to apply.

The leading objective of Veterans to Farmers is to introduce veterans to the many ways that they may participate in agriculture.

We offer mentorship, training, and the opportunity to reconnect with their veteran community for post traumatic growth.

Fundraising

In order to provide a framework for a strong culture, Junior Board Members will consider VTF a philanthropic priority. Along with enriching your community, fundraising helps nonprofits expand their reach. By raising more money, nonprofits can invest in new programs, resources, and people, accept more volunteers and reach new communities in need of support. Fundraising is not just a means of raising money, but also a way to promote the message and goals of a nonprofit. After all, without the goals being clearly explained and set out, nobody would want to donate.
